On April 14th the top 5 sommeliers in Ontario will compete for the ultimate title of Best Ontario Sommelier Competition (BOSC). This year, the action returns to the Arcadian Court, Toronto’s luxurious art-deco event venue located in the heart of the city at Bay and Queen Streets. Events will run from 11 AM until 9 PM.
On March 24th– a broad field of Ontario sommeliers will compete in a written theory examination as well as a blind tasting exam – in both Ottawa and Toronto. The top five will move on to the final competition. Entrants must be members of CAPS Ontario, in good standing.

Competitors| All completed applications including an up to date CV and confirmation of employment can be sent to Alexandra Evans at evansa@rogers.com for approval. Thank you and good luck! Acceptance of the applications will be confirmed based on the Rules and Regulations for the competition. Deadline for sommeliers to enter is March 1st2019
All sommelier competitors who enter the preliminaries will receive complimentary access to the April 14th competition and are eligible to participate in the Wine Tasting Challenge (professional category). Members of the public and wine enthusiasts are invited to compete in the amateur category.
In addition to the BOSC finals, the April 14th event will feature the return of the popular Wine Tasting Challenge – a tasting competition with categories and prizes for both amateurs and professionals. Rounding the day will be an International wine and food fair, silent and live auctions, evening cocktails and the Gala Dinner with the announcement of Ontario’s Best Sommelier.
