The provincial and national competitions are organized by the Canadian Association of Professional Sommeliers every three years. These aim to recognize excellence of Canadian sommeliers and to shine at an international level during the World’s Best Sommelier Competition organized every three years by the Association de la Sommellerie Internationale (ASI).
Best Ontario Sommelier Competition, 2019
On April 14th the top 5 sommeliers in Ontario will compete for the ultimate title of Best Ontario Best This year, the action returns to the Arcadian Court, Toronto’s luxurious art-deco event venue located in the heart of the city at Bay and Queen Streets. Events will run from 11 AM until 9 PM.

Preliminary - Best Ontario Sommelier Competition, 2019
On March 24th– a broad field of Ontario sommeliers will compete in a written theory examination as well as a blind tasting exam – in both Ottawa and Toronto. The top five will move on to the final competition. Entrants must be members of CAPS Ontario, in good standing.
