Best Sommelier of Canada 2017

Best Sommelier of Canada competition, Vancouver, British Columbia – September 3-5

The Canadian Association of Professional Sommeliers in coordination with Canadian Association of Professional Sommeliers British Columbia chapter are set to host the 2017 Best Sommelier of Canada competition in Vancouver, British Columbia from September 3rd to 5th. Competing at the event will be the winners from each of the regional chapter’s (Atlantic, Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba and British Columbia) respective competitions which were held earlier this year. Previous regional competition winners are also eligible to compete. The winner of the contest will represent Canada at the APAS (Best Sommelier of the America’s) competition scheduled to be held in Montreal in May, 2018. The 3-day competition will have a strong Canadian content as in addition to the competition events and seminars will focus on the diversity of the Canadian viticultural landscape including a tour organized by the British Columbia Wine Institute for competitors, judges and guests as well as seminars featuring Ontario wines and Benjamin Bridge, Nova Scotia’s well-known and highly regarded sparkling wine house.
