The Canadian Association of Professional Sommeliers (CAPS) is pleased to congratulate Michelle McCarthy on her appointment to the position of deputy secretary general to the A.S.I (Association del la Sommellerie Internationale) board of directors. Upon her appointment, Ms. McCarthy said “I’m very honoured and look forward to hopefully making a strong contribution.” Andres Rosberg from Argentina was elected as president of the association. Rosberg’s appointment marks the first time an individual from the Americas has been elected president of the association. The newly elected board is comprised of the following individuals:
